In the year of COVID
After one year of planning for the sixth biennial Art of Medicine Dinner and Auction and just one month prior to the scheduled date in April 2020, our plans came to a crashing halt due to the shut down resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic. With the help of our stellar Auction committee, and the use of an online auction platform we were able to transform the event into a socially distanced art exhibition and an online auction, which was held in November 2020. We were able to retain support from all of our sponsors and donors, minimize our overhead expenses, and bring in a net profit of over $70,000. This will go a long way to ensure our continued support of health projects in the Sacramento community and award nursing scholarships to deserving students.
