Linda Meyers was delighted to deliver a $10,000 grant award to Hazaiah Williams, Community Development Director at Elica Health. Elica is a Federally Qualified Health Center, providing comprehensive primary care to individuals of all ages regardless of their health insurance status or their ability to pay.  Elica Health will use the grant award to purchase 70 of 220 new computer screens. These screens are a necessary upgrade as Elica Health transitions to a new electronic medical record keeping system, improving coordination of care with other health systems. Linda and Mr. Williams met at Elica’s newest clinical facility on Watt Avenue in North Highlands. Recognizing that many of their clients have transportation issues, this facility provides medical, dental, behavioral health and pharmacy services all within this building. Placing a pharmacy within the building is a model Elica has adopted at all new facilities and will transition to in already established facilities.
