Linda Meyers had the pleasure of delivering a $5,538 grant award to Wellspring Women’s Center, located in the heart of Oak Park, where the need for their services is great. Wellspring adapted quickly when the pandemic began. Wellspring transitioned from preparing meals and serving them in-house to preparing meals for distribution.  The grant award will be used to purchase individual cartons of milk for their Milk Matters program, providing a cost effective and readily available source of protein. In addition to meals, Wellspring provides referral services to other social safety net programs, and Wellspring is assisting clients with registration and transportation to a COVID-19 vaccination clinic established by UC Davis in the Oak Park neighborhood.  Wellspring is a valued resource for women and children in the area.
